Dr. Donatus Wewura Adongo is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Ghana and is currently the Head, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. He is a Pharmacologist with special interest in neuropharmacology. Additionally, he is a member of the West African Society of Pharmacologists and the Ghana Neuroscience Society.
Education
He holds a BSc Biochemistry and PhD Pharmacology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana.
Work Experience
Dr. Adongo has worked as a biomedical scientist at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Kumasi, Ghana. He teaches and delivers laboratory demonstrations in Pharmacology in the University.
Research Interest
Dr. Adongo has special interest in neuropharmacology focusing on the effects of natural products as alternative therapies in the management of anxiety, pain, epilepsy and depression. He has several research publications in these areas to his credit.
