It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology, University of Health and Allied Sciences. At the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology, we are committed to excellence in teaching, cutting-edge research and impactful community engagement. 

        

Faculty in our department are involved in teaching Doctor of Pharmacy students in the university. We teach courses that introduce students to fundamental concepts in microbiology as well as microorganisms and parasites of pharmaceutical and medical importance. We also introduce students to techniques useful in biotechnology. In addition, we teach and supervise postgraduate students. 

 

Our department provides an enabling environment for staff to collaborate with researchers from industry, academia, and other disciplines both locally and internationally. We place strong emphasis on research that addresses real challenges. Our faculty provide mentoring for our students to stimulate innovation and critical thinking.
