Dr. Benjamin Kingsley Harley joined the University of Health and Allied Sciences in 2019 as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacognosy and Herbal Medicine. He is a pharmacist by profession and a strong advocate for the green medicine.
Education
Dr. Harley graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2011. He then pursued and completed a Mphil/PhD programme in Pharmacognosy from the same university having obtained an Associate Postgraduate Certificate from the University of Greenwich, UK as part of his doctoral studies through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.
Work experience
Benjamin worked as a Scientific Officer at the Department of Pharmacognosy (KNUST) between 2013-2018 being involved in research activities involving Natural Products and Phytotherapy. After his PhD, he went ahead with a Post-doc at the Wellcome Centre for Anti-Infective Research, WCAIR, University of Dundee, UK before joining the School of Pharmacy, UHAS.
