The Department of Pharmaceutics is one of the six academic departments in the School of Pharmacy and is presently headed by Dr. Hilda Amekyeh. Our faculty members have extensive experience from academia and industry. The Department hopes to advance the pharmaceutical sciences through excellent education, research and innovation. Therefore, our mission is to train pharmaceutical scientists and contribute to the science and practice of drug product design and formulation as well as drug delivery through research to improve health. We are also committed
to community service. The Department has developed over the years and will soon start admitting students into the following postgraduate programmes: MPhil Pharmaceutics and PhD Pharmaceutics.
