Mr. Umar-Farouk Wumbei Mamani is an Assistant lecturer in School of Pharmacy at the University of Health and Allied Sciences. He is also a practicing pharmacist and a Pharmaceutical chemist.
Education Mr. Mamani had his BPharm Pharmacy degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He served as a teaching assistant within the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, KNUST, and later pursued a Master of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in the same University. While undertaking his Master’s degree, he was appointed to serve as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Work Experience He has practiced as a pharmacist in Ghana for 3 years, during which he worked as Superintendent Pharmacist for a Community Pharmacy for 2 years and later as the Production Pharmacist at Starwin Products Limited – Ghana. He also headed the research and development team at Starwin.
Science/Research Mr. Mamani’s area of research is Pharmaceutical analysis. He focuses on developing and validating analytical methods for pharmaceutical drug analysis.
