Objective 5: Diversity, cultural brand, and identity

To ensure diversity by creating an inclusive environment and fostering equal opportunity while maintaining the cultural brand of UHAS in the School

 

Priorities

  1. Promote tolerance to all persons, including staff and students, irrespective of their age, race, gender, nationality, or religion while maintaining the culture of the University and the country 

  2. Ensure diversity during staff recruitment and student admissions through conscious gender balance initiatives

  3. Encourage more female staff and student applications to the School

  4. Promote egalitarianism by ensuring equal access to opportunities by duly qualified persons 

 

Target

To have a diverse and inclusive community of staff and students in the School. 

 

Indicators

  1. An increase in the number of female staff and students

  2. Ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student populations

  3. All new facilities being disabled-friendly 

Adequate and relevant support for staff and students with special needs
