Objective 10: Communication and Global Reach

To develop the SOP position as a world-class centre for intellectual engagement, through the proactive communication of ideas generated through scientific research and openness to new ideas generated elsewhere.

 

Priorities

  1. Employ the unique communication model developed by the University in all SOP communication. 

  2. Put together a Public Relations team in the School who will engage local communities and international audiences using both traditional and social media to promote the image of the School.

  3. Develop and secure a positive image of SOP globally

  4. Advocate to drive change in pharmaceutical science research, training, and innovation

  5. Develop scientific and public health content for print, digital, mobile, and broadcast media 

 

Target:

Achieve a positive brand and image as leading international pharmaceutical research and educational institution of excellence, integrity, innovation, and service.

 

Indicators:

  1. Increased brand recognition locally and internationally

  2. Increased online presence

  3. Public relations team established

  4. Periodic publishing of scientific and public health content for traditional and social media (Twitter, YouTube etc)

  5. SOP become a member of at least two (2) relevant international groups such as Academic Institutions Members (AIM) of the FIP, FIP World List of Pharmacy Schools, etc by the end of 2023.
